A Colorful Event! Updated with fabulous new pictures!

I'm so lucky!  I work with a bunch of really brave and fabulous folk, as you can see here!

They started out all pristine,

5K later, not so much. Something happened along the way!

Aren't they amazing?

Fun Karaoke - What talent!

Some of us got together to have celebrate Allison, and to lament hr leaving.

This was a new experience for Laura and I.  Everyone else was about 400 years younger than we, and lives in a totally “other” musical world.

We felt a little "out of it."

Neither of us know any popular music after 1962.  We wanted to sing Hank Williams or Elvis, but they seemed to be out of favor with the younger set.  We sang “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” and got booed off the stage.  We blamed this on the fact that it was in a bad key.  The younger set was fabulously talented!  What a happy surprise this was, although I don’t know why it should have been.  My coworkers are an amazing bunch, both in the great care they give our patients, and in their many faceted “at home” lives.

Our Future Colleague

Our future colleague, Micah Lockwood is pictured here in his very utilitarian lab coat.  He looks prepared for any medical emergency that might arise.  His mom says, "He is in his very own VM white coat.  He is on his way to becoming a VM nurse or MD ( I would expect him to follow in his mommy's footsteps though!)"

Two Irish Lassies!

Antonette and Tisha volunteered to serve pancakes at the St. James Cathedral St. Patricks Day pancake breakfast.  These two lassies were a sight for sore eyes in their Irish attire.

Joanna checked in and had some yummy fried potatoes.  She does not care for pancakes.

At MOHAI

Laura, Sun, and Joanna had a fun day at MOHAI.  They met for lunch in the cafe and then toured the fabulous (really, really fabulous) exhibits showing important events in Seattle history.  We learned quite a lot.

Did you know that UPS started out as a bicycle messenger service in Seattle?

Sun stars in a movie about Gasworks Park

Laura and Joanna have bit parts.

We took lots of pictures!
